BGOT is a small group of people who take cemetery and headstone photographs from graveyards in Tasmania - with an ambitious long-term goal of having a photographic record of every visible interment in the state. A big task - but a task that is necessary to preserve the histories of the many derelict and fading burial grounds in Tasmania.
For a token payment of just $5 you can purchase a set of digital photos - a headstone image of your relative / person of interest, plus a photo of the plot, and photos of the cemetery in which they are interred.
This project is not for profit - your payment is used to offset travelling, equipment and website expenses. If you have mulitple interests, please contact us to ask about a discount.
As records continue to be added, BGOT should become an essential resource for family historians and relatives both local and abroad.
