Carr Villa Project
Carr Villa Memorial Park is a beautiful parkland cemetery located in Kings Meadows. It is Tasmania's second largest cemetery, only second in size to Hobarts Cornelian Bay Cemetery.
Carr Villa became a burial ground in 1905 and is still used today, offering a wide variety of burial options,
including an impressive crematorium and rose garden.
There are over 63,000 interments at Carr Villa, and we intend to photograph them all!
Sue, Nellie and Sandy has been busy snapping away and we have about one third photographed already. We hope to have our work available for purchase by the end of 2010.
